Retinal hole

My father in law aged 68 years has been diagnosed to be suffering from mild cataract along with the hole in the retina. Can you please advice on this problem.

If a retinal hole has been detected in a patient requiring cataract surgery in the near future, it is usually advisable to treat the retinal hole with laser photocoagulation or transconjunctival cryopexy prior to cataract surgery. You could contact any ophthalmic surgeon with special interest in retinal disorders and go by his/her advice.
