Home remedies for hiccups

 

  1. Holding the tongue with the thumb and index finger and gently pulling it forward.
  2. Swallowing a small amount of finely cracked ice.
  3. Drinking a big glass of water rapidly.
  4. Breath holding for a few seconds or so.
  5. One teaspoon of ordinary table sugar, swallowed dry, may cure hiccups immediately.
